The work
Community ecologist at the Cary Institute of Ecosystem Studies (Millbrook, New York). Her 2021 Soil Biology & Biochemistry study found heat and the livestock antibiotic monensin together collapsed bacterial communities, reduced microbial efficiency, and weakened soil carbon storage. Leads the Stressed Out Soils experiment: 80 grassland plots testing four stressors in combination.
