The work
Professor of Horticulture and Landscape Architecture at Purdue University and co-director of the Arequipa Nexus Institute. Leads the multi-institution USDA-funded Tomato Organic Management and Improvement project (TOMI, three rounds since 2014), integrating pathogen-suppressive soil management, biopesticides, and open-pollinated breeding for induced systemic resistance. Also studies leaf mold compost in degraded urban soils and microbial control of heavy-metal uptake in produce.
