Professor of agroecology in the Department of Plant Sciences at UC Davis and chair of the Horticulture and Agronomy Graduate Group, with a faculty scientist appointment at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. Her lab compares modern maize and tomato with wild relatives and landraces to understand lost rhizosphere functions, and studies cover crops, livestock integration, and organic carbon inputs in California orchard and row-crop systems.
