Description
An Oregon State release named for the Dorris family — the same name that appears at the front of this file, since George Dorris planted the state’s first commercial hazelnut orchard in 1903.
Where ‘Jefferson’ went out unrestricted, this one went out patented and licensed, and the licence has two halves worth reading: rights from the university, and a current state nursery licence. A grower propagating from their own block is not simply exercising a horticultural choice.
